Marisa Polvino is an award-winning producer and entrepreneur with a skill for producing quality, star- driven content across all genres and budget levels. Polvino manages business strategy and operations and identifies and shapes projects, while also forging partnerships with thought leaders and change makers that align with the company’s ethos. She has produced notable films such as Transcendence, Outside Providence, The Door in the Floor and The Education of Charlies Banks and has worked alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names, such as Rosario Dawson, Jeff Bridges, Gina Rodriguez, Johnny Depp and many others. 

Drawing upon her long-standing commitment to advocacy work and social impact, Polvino co-founded Straight Up Impact. The company’s mission uses storytelling to create thought-provoking content that appeals to human emotions, shifts perspectives and inspires positive social change. In 2019, she created the Power On series for Google/YouTube to inspire gender and racial inclusion for girls in STEM. 

In 2020, she worked alongside the Kapor Institute and SMASH.org to create I AM, a short doc about the power of social justice. Polvino is currently producing the award-winning docuseries Meaning in Madness which centers around systemic issues contributing to the mental health crisis facing young adults and teens. She also serves on the executive board of Fosterprenuer Inc, a 501c3 that offers entrepreneurial programs to foster at-risk youth. The pilot program, which aims to spark creativity and nurture new business ideals, launched at UCLA in the summer of 2022 and will expand internationally.
